Araz Silicon Industries, MENA’s First Producer of Silicon Metal
Araz Silicon Industries was established in 2019 by a group of Iranian entrepreneurs from different business sectors with the goal of creating the complete silicon value chain from producing silicon metal out of silica ore to manufacturing silicones and solar panels as well as solar power plants within a 10-year time frame.
According to the company’s roadmap, the first link of the silicon value chain is Khoi silicon metal factory. It is a 70 million$ investment which came to production in summer 2022.

Today, Araz Silicon Industries successfully has reached to its first milestone which is producing silicon metal out of silica ore in Khoi factory. The first ever produced batch was grade 52X. Currently Araz Silicon Industries is producing 553,441, 421 grades and is capable of producing higher grades per order.
